How to get the pickaxe in Deep Dish Dungeon

Checked 2026-10-16. Steam build 25955406. Patch 1.0.47.0.

I looked for a pickaxe recipe the same way I looked for a clay recipe, and the item table does not have one. Dev Blog #3 lists a pickaxe among the tools the dungeon hands you. The precise room is still “somewhere after the opening,” so I will not draw a fake X.

Found, not forged

Break goo piles with it. TechRaptor’s sewer chapter also uses it on yellow goo that is covering a door. Iron rods can fall from that yellow goo, which is a separate drop from clay.

Steam players looking for the axe say you want the pickaxe and the grappling hook before the deep sewer or catacombs stretch. That is an order of tools, not a coordinate.
